Gardening and car crashes..

Hello! The heat has finally broken a bit and we are having some great gardening weather. People all over North America are in a frenzy to figure out what to do with the twenty million tomatoes they didn’t think would actually grow. I wouldn’t have planted any but Dummy insisted.

He’s has been listening to the news and bearing in mind that heat stroke is a terrible thing, he is being smart and is wearing a hat and sunscreen with a high SPF factor of course.

Checking the tomatoes…He’s so busy that he didn’t notice that his butt is on backwards..I would tell him but his feelings get hurt awfully easily. He’ll notice when he tries to sit down.

Tomato plant, dummy

And look how nicely the corn has come in…and yup, his butt is on right..

As for me I’ve been hanging out in the AC. I painted this little 3 x 5 inch acrylic of the downtown area in Rock Island, Illinois. I just noticed that the first building has a bit of a lean, someone should fix that.  It’s a tragedy waiting to happen. And the windows in the shop look like they’re ready to burst..Oh no! There’s a pedestrian in front of them….. Run! Lady! Run! ….It’s too late!… The white car tried to save her but has run into a stop sign which some fool put in the middle of the road…oh the agony…

Good thing I caught it all on canvas. I better go send this off to CNN  for their I-Witness newscast.

Thanks Leslie. :) That’s one of those paintings that got away from me. I ended up with a whole story there I didn’t mean to have. That’s ok though, I amuse myself to no end with this kind of stuff. I think it’s hereditary. I come from a very silly family.

Love your little dummy. Sadly I have no outdoor space, so I am envying your tomatoes from afar.

Loved your little painting of downtown and the scenario to go with it. I await the news story on CNN>

Okay, now Virginia, level with me. Is that a real garden with real veggies and flowers? Regardless how much water I put on mine this summer, the plants are petrified stick figures. Did you find rare dummy seeds somewhere? Wonder if anything will ever grow down here again … at least I can visit your site and dream! I’m so jealous….

Thank you. :) . We have the heat but it’s the humidity that does the trick. We have had such high dew levels it’s keeping everything hydrated. I hope the weather breaks soon for you all!

I get a kick out of coming here to see what you’ve got the little guy doing. So creative and hilarious! Love your mini paintings. No small task to complete them.

Love the painting. I have to get back at mine. Maybe reading your blog will give me some ideas for new paintings … or at least get me going again. Love Dummy, and wish I had some of your tomatoes. Love fresh ones, especially my mom’s. :)

You are so busy running your new and improved patootie all over, I can see why you might not have had the time to paint. :)

I have to express my thanks to this writer for rescuing me from this incident. Because of checking throughout the the web and getting opinions which were not helpful, I figured my entire life was well over. Being alive devoid of the answers to the difficulties you have fixed through this site is a serious case, and the ones that would have in a negative way affected my career if I had not come across your blog post.
