Weekly Photo Challenge: Unfocused

The theme of this week’s WordPress photo challenge is unfocused.

I’m not always terribly focused so I thought this one was a fun one to play..

One day I was trying to take a decent photo of Dummy (my drawing dummy for those who haven’t met him). Now Dummy is addicted to UFO and alien stories. He’s always making me watch UFO Hunters on the history channel and I’ve seen every episode of Star Trek and the Next Generation and the X-Files among many other space or alien shows. I swear, I don’t like them, but he gets snarky if I don’t let him have the remote.

But Dummy he lives in eternal hope that one day he may be abducted by aliens. I’ve tried to explain to him that since he is made out of wood and is only a foot tall, they’d have nowhere to microchip him. But alas and alack, he continues to dream.

I didn’t intentionally set out to make him like an alien creature. But he had no intention of letting me get away with just a nice portrait for the family gallery.

Drawing dummies can be very trying to deal with.

  1. Did you realize that you entered this blog on May 4th…get it? May the fourth be with you.

  2. I like your blog. I just recently (this past week) started my own WordPress blog. I noticed that you have an email subscription list. I put my email on it. I gather that this is one of the plugins? I will look for it. I announced my blog on Facebook, but only go a couple of people to visit. I must say though, that my writing is not as interesting as yours at the moment: mostly comments on how my effort to paint, make jewelry, and get my art business off the ground is going. I hadn’t heard of the WordPress photo story thing; I’ll probably get more familiar with WordPress once I take an online course that I’m signed up for in June. I coded my own website, but, depending on what I learn about WordPress, I’ll probably use WordPress to recreate my website. Do you have a website?

    1. Thanks! The email subscription thing is one of the widgets, that is available in the dashboard 9admin panel) of your WordPress blog. This is the only website I have, my first attempt at doing anything like this. Than you so much for the lovely compliments!
