The Daring Jumping Spider
(A Sing-along)
He goes flying though the air,
With the greatest of ease,
The Daring Jumping Spider,
Without a trapeze.
He doesn’t spin a web,
He pounces on his prey,
But he keeps a safety rope,
In case he falls on the way.
See he isn’t very coordinated,
Often gets a face full of dirt,
And since he’s quite small,
That can really really hurt.
.
And when he sees a female,
He jumps up and down,
Even when she ferociously sneers,
And stares with a frown.
He has bedazzled green fangs,
And big puppy dog eyes,
And if you ever see him,
Please try to realize,
There’s no reason to be afraid,
There’s no reason to fret,
Cause he eats all the mites,
He’s an adorable pet.
He goes flying though the air,
With the greatest of ease,
The Daring Jumping Spider,
Without a trapeeeeeze! (Big Finale hold that note!)

Hi Virginia, very cool, one can actually see the bit of web! Love Sherry
Thanks! it’s so funny to watch them, with the webs, they get so nervous, if something cuts it.
Yeah like the web too. Don’t you step on your spiders?!! I don’t think I’ll visit you, very creepy. But you are a creative nut and I love you.
So, you’re the reason it rains all the time! Quit stepping on them. 😀
Cute, Thank You!
Thank you! 🙂
He or she is adorable…but puppy dog eyes…I’m not so sure….
I got bit by a black widow spider a few years ago, so I am very cautious now.
your poetry is wonderful as usual. Thanks.
Ow! We had a black widow infestation when we lived in Colorado, much as I hated to do it we had to exterminate, they can be quite dangerous. Hope you recovered alright from that!
Love your song….LOVE spiders…..so enjoy you, Virginia!
That’s him!! The guy that was hanging out in my kitchen!!
hahahahahaha
