I surely will know
That sometimes herons stay
Even where there is snow!
.
Strange but cool.
Please excuse the fuzziness, I was hiding, albeit badly, behind some reeds.
Judging by the look on his face in the last photo, he found me.
What a glare!
So I guess I’m “It”.
Hide!

What a cool sight to see. They make fishing look so easy too. One of my favourite birds.
Thanks, I like that in the first one you can see the fish in the water. All the blue behind the heron is ice.
How I love those herons! Nice captures Virginia.
Thanks! One flew over me today, very low, while I was walking the dogs. Hopefully they go south before it gets much colder.
Great photos as always! 🙂
Thanks!
I was showing Phil your photos of the heron and then I realized that the heron didn’t even lose its balance!
Yup, he used his wings to balance, it was very fast.
