My name is Virginia Spencer.
I paint with acrylic, oil and watercolor.
I prefer to do miniatures. Most of my paintings are 5×5 inches or less.
Occasionally I go crazy and make a really big one.
This little house is one of my favorites.
Acrylic miniature, 2.5 by 3.5 inches.

Love your pictures Virginia. Oh and very cute dog!
Thanks 🙂
Great start Virginia 🙂 And it’s a delight to see your wonderful artworks again 🙂
Thank you so much!
I like your artwork very much, I hope to see more of it.
I’m also slightly in love with your dog and want him for my own. I would not be oppossed to seeing more pictures of him as well. 🙂
Thank you, he’s outside staring at a tree. His tree staring record is three hours but I think he might break that today. The tree is looking very self conscious.
Poor tree! Does he ever change up what he moons over? Or does he have a special likeing for bark? (Bad pun not intended.)
I really like your pictures, especially the dog and the stones. Good work!
you’re paintings are really gorgeous!
I really love your work. Love miniatures. Noticed your comments about the condo in Bay Beach and the marina.
Thanks Sharon. I always find the Strand enjoyable. I just read the article about the bridge. Interesting stuff.
Hello! Just found you through the Crazy Chicks Club, and so far I really like your blog! I love your work, and I’m happy to find another creative blogger that just started to blog too… I think us newbies have to stick together, and I just subscribed to your blog! Best of luck to you ~Pam
Hi Virginia, I just came across your blog and wanted to tell you how much I like it. I plan to visit frequently. Your paintings are wonderful and your writing gives me a good chuckle.
Virginia, you are totally crazy entertaining and talented! I need to visit your blog regularly – it’s good for my spirit and remembering how to smile! That picture frame is a masterpiece. 🙂
Thanks June! That means a lot coming from a lady like yourself. 🙂
You have a great sense of humor Virginia ! On this dreary day in Maryland it was wonderful finding your blog. I am not sure how I found it, because I was surfing on WetCanvas and somehow ended up here! I have subscribed to your blog. Thanks for telling the Nigerian story….I just deleted the email I got from that country yesterday. Hug that adorable dog for me.
Sarah

Awesome miniatures… here in my town are a specialist painter in the art of miniatures i make an enterview called “Wuenselao en el país de las miniaturas” and I published in my blog, the only thing bad is that it is written in spanish but you can see some pics of his job
My Spanish isn’t that great but I was able to read most of it. Thank you for showing me that. His miniatures are lovely.
I seem to have left a contact form instead of a comment! Sorry.
😀 No problem! Thanks for stopping by.
Happy October to you! Keep up the creative juice and thank you for showcasing your painting!
really, really cool!
love miniature watercolors! and i think your dog and mine are long-lost twins 🙂
We have a nude water color, done sometime in the 70’s or 80’s – would that have been your work?
Nope, I’m sorry, it’s not. I would have been in school at that time. I always sign with “vmrs” as there is another artist with a similar name.
