Hi….
.
It’s been awhile…
But this is what I’ve done so far with my summer.
I was sidetracked for a bit by a large monster.
It said ” Rawrrrrrrr, Rawrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, RAWRRR!!!”
Which is for monsterspeak for
“Help! I’m stuck!!”
And he struggled back and forth..
“Rawwwrrrrr, rawwwrrrrrr! RAWRRRR!!!”
Translation: “Hmmm. Maybe if I lean a bit and put one leg down and rock back and forth…”
.
“Rawrr”
Translation: “Okay, I’m out, it’s all good”
.
And then he sheepishly crawled away.
Even the hummingbird did a dance for him.
“I’m so HAPPY!!”
While the grumpy hummingbird rolled his eyes..
Then I saw a butterfly..
And “Marine One” flew the President over my house.
So I painted this in acrylic for a WetCanvas Paint Along.
And I bought a new Bic pen so I did some quick doodling.
.
Other then that, there’s not much going on. Though I did let Zeus and Sampson watch Sharknado and now they’re making their own film called “Dognado”. Zeus, as the art director of the film, thought the garden looked too fruitful so he promptly picked all the tomatoes.
Yes, I have no tomatoes.
Sigh.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Cool photographs Virginia. I loved them! I really like your doodles…did you do those while talking to me???
I did those while I was watching that goofy show WIpeout! 😀
I like how clear and up close your photos are 🙂
Thanks, i use a really long lenses so it looks close but I don’t ahve to get that close! 🙂
Wonderful photos Virginia!!! IMPRESSIVE to say the least, along with your droll comments, very enjoyable.
Thank you so much!
Stunning! All so stunning! 🙂
Thanks Steve! 🙂
Yays, you’re back! Love the snake photo, he is just a charming little fellow! The cicada is insane, great capture, I’ve been wanting to catch the same but the closest I’ve gotten is seeing one fly away just he finished hardening his carapace.
Also, “quick” doodles? Doodles? Ha!
Thanks! Those wind storms earlier this year, hit here pretty hard, so we’ve spent the summer
repairing things and trimming and cutting damaged trees. It was time consuming! The cicada was on my tire, silly thing, it’s funny how many you can hear but how few you actually see.
The doodles took about 20 minutes each, this is how I occupy myself when the TV is on. 😀
I have to catch up on my blog reading too!
I love the photography! We have not one cicada nor stink bug this year!! We live in Maryland.
Where do you live? Thanks for the smile you put on my face when I read your responses.
I swear Virginia, you are always worth the wait. I’d rather have one fantabulous post from you than 10 from many. That snake photo and the others are unbelievable! You are one talented lady. Margie
Amazing shots!!!!!
